This Saturday RedEye are really happy to be part of McCrum's Charity Shindig. The event is in aid of the Step by Step NI charity, an organisation that helps adults with learning difficulties. This is a charity that resonates well with Steve as his son is autistic and reaching that stage of his life when he will be needing all the assistance he can get. Come over and support this worthy cause and enjoy some free music and grub. All donations gratefully received. thanks to Wes and the guys at Black Cat PR for inviting us to take part. Details on the Forthcoming Gigs page.

We had a class time in the King's Head last Thursday night at the Voodoo CD launch party. Really great time, our thanks to the boys from Voodoo as well as to Phil from Black Cat PR for letting us be part of it - there's a few pics over on the gig photos page. So tonight, we're heading down to Lindores Coffee Shop for another wee rattle and then to the John Hewitt for a wee bit more. If you're out and about come in and say hello.
Matt and Steve continue their quest for world domination in an unplugged way. After successful appearances at Lindores Coffee Shop, The Belfast Empire and the John Hewitt, they are heading out to the King's Head this Thursday, 1 August 2013, to guest at the Voodoo CD launch party. Gonna be a brilliant night with free giveaways and all sorts of shenanigans. Get yer arses down and show some support!
We finally got a replacement drummer! Badger Duncan from FUBAR has joined us and we hope
This is pretty much a teaser post. We hope to have some exciting news in the next week or so. Watch this space!!
Well we're still looking for a drummer. If you know any drummists, stick them in a taxi and send them to us in Ballygowan!!
We're still practicing with new guitarist Brian. We're still writing new music but by fuck are we getting fed up. Matt and Steve are still wanting to play acoustic gigs for now so give us a shout if you know what's good for you! You’ll have seen we have been advertising for a drummer lately. This was always in the hope that our God of Thunder, Paul Laverty, would return to us
when circumstances allowed. Unfortunately, Paul confirmed a few nights that he would not be able to rejoin the family. Paul was one of the original line-up and I know that Matt and I will miss him hugely, not just for his enormous talent, but just for the crack. We wish him the very best for the future. I'm delighted to announce that we have a new guitar player as of today. His name is Brian. We had a really good jam and things are looking up! All we need now is a new drummer and we are good to go again. So if you are a drummist, or you know anybody who is, get in touch and we can work stuff out. Welcome to the family Brian!

through a period of reorganisation. In the mean time, Matt and Steve have reworked some of the songs acoustically. We would now like to bring them out to the public, billed as Redeye: The Ragged Remains. So, if anyone is looking for an acoustic act for a 30 to 45 minute slot, please get in touch. Thank you, we really want to keep this thing going. Steve. |
