Well, things are coming on well. Lucas is settling in well and really getting the songs down. Roll on 23 June for BBA Taking Control!! Check out the profile pics for youir first glimps
Good news everyone! Belfast Metropolitan College are having a one hour show showcasing local bands tomorrow. It's gonna have lots of good music as well as information about gigs and stuff. Tune in to 106.2 fm between 1 and 2 pm Friday 25 May, or log on to the BMC website and follow the link to listen online.
http://www.belfastmet.ac.uk/ RedEye are now a five piece band! I have pleasure in welcoming Lucas to the family as our second guitar player. He will be joining us on stage next time we're out, which at the moment is set for BBA Taking Control on 23rd June at the Marine Court in Bangor. We are gonna raise the fuckin roof!!
So Out of Control got cancelled, which is shit. The good news though is that there is an alternative punk festival being organised by our good mate Tommy in Bangor on 23 June. It will be a one day affair with a shed load of top quality bands, including yours truly. As details are firmed up we will spread the word - keep checking the website for updates.
Just heard the news that Ma's is shutting down tonight! Absolutely gutted, they gave us plenty of gigs over the last few months and were always really friendly and supportive. Best of luck to Tina in her future venues. Obviously that means the Alive and Loud festival is now off, which is also shit.
Such a good night last Saturday in Ma's. Maiden City rocked the house (although the singer wasn't exactly in Bruce Dickinson's league) and Conjuring Fate were brilliant.
We met a bloke who is going to come down and try out for rhythm guitar on Thursday night. Here's hopin it works out so as we can move forward! So we had a great time in Ma's last night with Firebobbies and co. Great sound and the lighting system was brilliant. Fuckin smoke machine nearly choked me but it looked cool. Many thanks to Ciaran and Jonny from Shizznigh Promotions for having us on the bill. There's a few photos (on the photos page obviously) check them out.
Next week we're supporting Maiden City, an Iron Maiden tribute band who are seriously taking off right now. Any old metal heads out there, you don't want to miss this one! Check out the details on the Gigs page. Until next time sleeze lovers... Update on Alive and Loud Rock and
Metal Festival Belfast. The festival is now running over 3 days, starting Friday 30 March. The venue has changed to Ma's Rock Bar on the Lisburn Road so it's a bit more accessible. RedEye will still be playing on the Sunday, 1 April. TICKETS FOR ALL 3 DAYS ARE A MEASLEY £25 - CONTACT ME FOR TICKETS!! So, that was a tough day. Ten songs shadow tracked and drums finished. Frankie's a legend! He has some fantastic gear, epic sounds! Played a Moon Custom Jazz Bass and a white Les Paul Custom. Pity we have to wait another 6 weeks until we go back.
